Description
Originally composed for wind band, Pas Redouble is a “barn-burner” of a march by Camille Saint-Saëns, brought to the brass band by Craig Mason. This high-speed, lighthearted work is characterized by its virtuosic woodwind-style passages (transcribed for cornets) and its playful, operetta-like character. It is an exhilarating technical workout for the band and a thrilling experience for the audience, perfectly suited for showcasing the ensemble’s precision at a fast “double-time” tempo.
