Inspired by the historic tradition of “tower brass” fanfares, Tower Music is an energetic and impressive work for Trumpet (Cornet) Trio and brass band. Composed by Jean-Francois Michel, the piece features three soloists in a series of brilliant fanfares and rapid melodic exchanges. The writing is bright and heroic, making it a perfect ceremonial piece or a high-impact concert feature. As heard on CD 948-2, it is a professional-level showcase that highlights the brilliance of the band’s upper brass section.
