Description
The famous and elegant Entr’acte from Bizet’s opera Carmen is sensitively arranged for brass band by Jaroslav Šíp. This setting focuses on the delicate woodwind-like textures of the original, requiring a light touch and sophisticated phrasing from the cornets and flugelhorn. It is an excellent “classical favorite” that provides a moment of refined, operatic beauty in a concert program. This edition includes alternate bass clef Trombone parts for ease of use across different bands.
Difficulty 4
(Medium) A level 4 difficulty rating brings very challenging rhythms to the piece. Syncopation will be freely used, as will the more extreme ranges for all instruments.
