Description

Although considered an Appalachian folk melody, this ballad’s roots are most certainly from the land of the Celts. Better known as O Waly, Waly, over the years it has been sung with various hymn texts, most notably Isaac Watts’ When I Survey The Wondrous Cross. Here it is given a sublime treatment by American composer William Gordon.
