Description
The sublime and singing melody from the second movement of Beethoven’s “Pathétique” Sonata is beautifully arranged for brass band by John Glenesk Mortimer. This setting (which does not include a piano) places the famous, noble melody in the most lyrical voices of the band. Mortimer includes alternate bass clef parts for Trombone, Euphonium, and Tuba to ensure flexibility. It is a sophisticated and deeply moving classical arrangement that highlights the band’s ability to “sing” through their instruments with grace and sensitivity.
