Description
This work by Gregory Fritze was the winner of the inaugural BrookWright International Brass Ensemble Composition Contest 2021, adjudicated by Dr Liz Lane, James Curnow and Paul Hindmarsh. It is a short jazz composition for brass quintet written in the style of the ‘Cool’ jazz era of the 1950s in New York City. The flexible instrumentation means it is playable by a wide range of ensembles.
