From the composer of the Grand Canyon Suite, Desert Water Hole is a vivid musical vignette from Ferde Grofé’s Death Valley Suite. Arranged for brass band by Andrew Duncan, the piece captures the stark beauty and dramatic isolation of the American desert. Grofé’s evocative style is perfectly translated to the brass medium, using shimmering textures and bold melodic lines to paint a sonic landscape. The arrangement also includes alternate F Horn and bass clef low brass parts, making it accessible for a wide range of bands.
