Description

Neptune is a majestic original march for brass band composed by the legendary British bandmaster and educator Roy Newsome. Named after the Roman god of the sea, the march possesses a fluid and powerful character, moving away from rigid military styles toward a more symphonic concert march feel. It features the noble, broad melodies and expert middle-brass writing that were hallmarks of Newsome’s style. It is an excellent selection for a concert opener or as a dignified, high-quality march for contest use, showcasing the band’s ensemble balance and resonant tone.
