Azule is a beautiful, jazz-inflected ballad by Mike Steinel, arranged specifically for Flugelhorn solo. The work captures a “cool” and atmospheric vibe, allowing the soloist to demonstrate their ability to blend jazz style with the warm, rich tone of the flugel. It is a fantastic contemporary addition to the solo repertoire.
